If you are planning a wedding and want to get the vendor hook-up you’ve found it. Wedding Photographers know about weddings. We subscribe to wedding magazines, watch Bravo wedding shows, read bridal blogs and generally wish we could get married all over again on a weekly basis. Plus, we SEE so many weddings in person that we are great resources for planning your own wedding. We all have our preferred vendors, our favorite locations, that detail we hope and pray a bride will have the guts to pull off so we can photograph it and glory in it with her. A few of my favorite wedding resources and vendors…

Paper:

Cracked Designs– Tara is a bride of mine from a couple of years ago and a talented, witty graphic artists and paper designer. I can vouch for her style and class as I’ve photographed it first hand.

Bands:

Five Card Studs – These guys are crazy and you have to have a certain sort of humor to appreciate them, but OH  MY GOODNESS they are hilarious and so much fun.

Maggie Speaks – This group is out of Chicago but are willing to travel. They can cover all your favorite songs authentically and guests love them. Get ready to dance.

Flowers:

Pollen Floral – Founded by a designer turned florist, this studio does great work with a vibrant modern aesthetic.

Four Sisters Floral – An a great little shop that does lovely work. The website is geared for flower deliveries so you have to go see them or call.

Videographers:

Orange Wedding Films – JJ and his assistants do great, contemporary non-cheesy work! He’s out of Illinois but travels to WI regularly.

Visual Productions – VP does amazing same day edits with awesome soundtracks that will make your guests think that you are the best wedding planner ever. Ask for the sample same day edit from Lori & Richard Arndt’s day. *VP will soon be “Poetry in Motion”, but you can still reach Shawn through the link.

Frogman Productions – This husband wife duo are at many of my events. Their work speaks for itself.

Photobooth (my version is a mini-studio setup. If you want a ‘booth’ try these):

Traveling Photo Booth – Photobooths are a great way to add mega-fun to a cocktail hour and create an insanely customized guest book. This is the most professional version I’ve found.

Magnolia Photo Booth – This booth is small and well designed with vintage flair.

Coordinators:

Dynamic Events with David Caruso is probably the premier Event Design and coordination outfit in the city. Stylish, fun and totally put together is the order of the day with David.

Inspire Weddings – Tracy is out of Madison but willing to travel and work her heart out for you.

Dreams and Designs – Danica is a familiar fixture at area weddings for a reason.

Bridesmaid Dresses:

Bella Bridesmaid – Stop by the boutique in the Third Ward after you visit me!

Miss Ruby – GORGEOUS dresses – with pockets! And just down the street from me, as well.

DJs:

Sound By Design – Always professional, rockin’ fun without all the narration.

Makeup:

On Location – Just what it sounds like – they come to you and do a wonderful job. You’ll look like a movie star, only naturally.
