Blank My Walls | Accessible, affordable art for everyone

November 2, 2010

Blank My Walls is a new website launched just this week to sell limited edition prints of great new art by great artists, to everyday collectors.  A few of my pieces are a part of the “Original 20” Collection (including the one above) and I’m positively thrilled for this new adventure started by Molly and Ken, a husband-wife team that is literally making their dreams come true. I met them in 2006 when they were planning their 2007 wedding. I photographed their gorgeous, sun-kissed I Dos on the steps at Lake Park. Their wedding still lives in my mental reference file of how-to-take-chances-and-take-them-right. They held the reception at Turner Hall where the rambling staircases lead to a hauntingly beautiful vaulted grand dame of a room. Molly and Ken managed to deftly mix the high drama of pearls on the place-cards and orchids dripping from the ceiling with an all out assault on the dance floor complete with an entire bridal party in cowboy boots. That’s how I remember it, anyway.

Since then Molly has created a thriving photography studio and found the energy to pursue other creative passions with lots of help from her business and life partner Ken. The latest of those is of course, the subject of this blog. The concept is simple: limited editions, affordable prices, beautiful juried work and a constantly evolving collection for everyday art collectors to choose from. New pieces come out every week and with them, new opportunities for anyone, everyone to have the art they’ve always wanted on their walls. Take a look, sign up for the weekly newsletter and go get some glam on your walls!
