Jenny & Kyle Sneak Peek

May 18, 2010

Jenny & Kyle may have just gotten married, but their life together started many years before Saturday, May 8th, 2010. They met more than a decade ago and have called one another theirs ever since. Perhaps because their own love story already claims so many years, it was not a surprise to me when I saw their rings. A thick claddaugh ring from Kyle’s grandfather would be Kyle’s wedding band and Jenny’s blue was a stone beauty bought decades ago in Italy by her grandfather for her grandmother. Such romantic stories and details paired with Jenny’s modern, preppy sensibilities to create a soft, but bright pallette for the day. And while the early morning sky threatened rain, the afternoon delivered only sunshine and a brisk wind that played with Jenny’s veil.

Kyle proposed to Jenny at Lake Park so the plan was always to use the park as a leafy backdrop for wedding party pictures, but on the way there an amazing bluff view opened up to the lake. Turns out this is where he proposed.

Irish-inspired prints and greens were woven into everything from fabrics to flowers and even their pup Milo joined in the festivities. Fortunately, Milo avoided the fox skimming the base of the lighthouse, but the bridemaids didn’t miss a chance to get some sand on their feet at Bradford Beach. We made it to the gorgeous Grain Exchange in time to enjoy the full cocktail hour and Jenny & Kyle made a grand, dress twirling entrance.

Jenny & Kyle included my new “photobooth” set-up in their reception and guests loved it!  I’ll do the full photobooth images as a separate post, but for now here’s an image that I took of some guests enjoying the idea. Jenny’s mom dug out the custume box for our photobooth and yes, that is the priest wearing bunny ears.
